KNOW JESUS

BELIEVE

“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.” — Romans 10:9-10

Being “Saved” simply means that Jesus has fully forgiven us of all of our sin by being our substitute on the cross. The one who knew no sin, became sin - so that you and I could be made righteous in Christ.

We all know that we are sinners. God became a man in the person of Jesus Christ for the purpose of reconciling us back to himself. This work is completely finished and we simply place our faith in Jesus for salvation and new life.

By faith alone, through grace alone, in Christ alone we are eternally saved and perfectly forgiven. It’s all because of what Jesus has accomplished on the cross and by the power of His resurrection.

Place your faith in Him today if you haven’t already, then come and learn of His love for you, be loved and love the family of God. Discover how you can serve God with the specific talents and abilities He has given you.

BE BAPTIZED

“ ...go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” — Matthew 28:18-20

Baptism is an outward expression of what has happened in your heart and your life. In baptism we are symbolically drenched from head to toe in God’s amazing grace — that is, we have undeserved, unearned, unmerited favor with God.

Baptism is also symbolic of a burial and resurrection. As we are submerged, our old life is dead and buried, all our sin and failures and carnage — buried! We then come out of the baptism (grave) like Jesus, resurrected into new life. Baptism is a powerful and important act in the life of every believer. We do this publicly as an act of proclamation that we are forgiven and have new life in Christ. We have baptisms regularly at MTN CHURCH.

BE TOGETHER

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” — Hebrews 10:23-25

We gather together in our homes, in small groups and all together on Sundays to point each other to Jesus and the truth of God’s Word. All gatherings provide opportunity to love one another, do good to one another, and ultimately, to bring glory and honor to Jesus.

To effectively love one another, we must know one another. Community is part of the DNA of MTN CHURCH.

You are welcome to make MTN CHURCH the place where you gather together with other believers in Jesus.

If you’ve never gathered with us on Sunday, take a moment to plan your visit. Also consider gathering together in a small group where we truly get to know one another.
